The Wal-Martization of Canada: Run with slogan-driven military precision, Wal-Mart is the world's most successful retailer. The company, however, has found their move into the Canadian market to be more difficult than expected. Wal-Mart's primary task is to build trust. This is difficult when you are an ultra-secretive American company with a troubling reputation. Venture addresses specific concerns and takes a rare look inside the huge operation that is working to make Wal-Mart a success in Canada. - - Vietnam Economic Boom: Vietnam's economy is booming, but very few Canadian businesses are leaping at the opportunities. Many countries are investing in Vietnam, which is emerging from its Communist cocoon. Foreign investment has been allowed since 1988 and the economy is growing at seven per cent a year. Vietnam could be the next economic tiger in the region and countries like Japan and Australia recognize that.
